One-click deployment with automated provisioning
Deploy WordPress, Joomla, Nextcloud and other popular applications with a single click. The installer provisions the website, database, SSL certificate, and runs the application setup — either automatically or through a guided browser-based workflow.
From selection to running application
1. Select application
Choose from the application catalog (WordPress, Joomla, Nextcloud, etc.). The panel validates that the target domain has a website and the tenant has the applications module entitlement.
2. Configure install
Set the installation path, admin credentials, and database name. Choose between automated (full hands-free) or guided (browser-based vendor installer) mode.
3. Provision resources
The panel creates a database and user if needed, then enqueues an apps.install job. The job depends on the website being active.
4. Agent deploys
The SpeedyCTL agent downloads the application package, extracts it to the document root, writes the configuration file (wp-config.php, configuration.php, etc.), and sets permissions.
5. Installation completes
Automated installs finish with status active and show the site URL. Guided installs land in pending_setup — the customer finishes the vendor browser installer.
Supported applications
WordPress
World's most popular CMS. Automated install writes wp-config.php, creates the database schema, and sets the site URL. Supports multisite configuration.
Joomla
Full-featured CMS. Automated install writes configuration.php, sets up the database, and configures the site. Guided mode available for custom setup.
Nextcloud
Self-hosted productivity platform. Automated install configures the data directory, database connection, and admin account. Integrates with existing web hosting.
Roundcube
Webmail client for hosted mail. Connects to the panel's Dovecot IMAP server. Pre-configured with the mail domain settings.
phpList
Mailing list manager. Automated install configures the database connection and admin interface. Integrates with Postfix for mail delivery.
Custom applications
The installer framework supports custom application packages. Define download URL, config templates, and setup steps for proprietary applications.
Automated vs guided installation
Automated mode
Full hands-free installation. The agent downloads, extracts, configures, and sets permissions. The application is ready to use immediately. Status transitions to active.
Guided mode
The agent downloads and extracts the application, then the customer completes the vendor's browser-based installer (e.g. WordPress 5-minute install). Status lands in pending_setup until completed.
Uninstall
Remove applications with one click. The agent deletes application files and optionally drops the database. The (domain, path) slot is freed for reinstallation.
Job tracking
Every install/uninstall runs as a SpeedyCTL job. Track progress, view logs, and see the outcome. Failed installs can be retried or resolved.
Deep panel integration
Database provisioning
The installer creates a MariaDB database and user automatically. Credentials are written to the application config file. Database status syncs with the install job.
SSL automation
If the website does not have an SSL certificate, the installer can trigger Let's Encrypt issuance as a dependent job. HTTPS is configured before the application goes live.
Domain validation
The installer validates that the domain exists and points to the server. DNS records are checked before installation to prevent misconfigured deployments.
Entitlement checks
The applications module must be enabled in the license, package, and tenant type. Customers without the module cannot access the installer.
